Sentence Surgery

Students go nuts over Sentence Surgery....it is basically having sentences with two mistakes...either capitalization, end mark or spelling. The teacher wear a doctor's coat and a theses cope while modeling worksheet with students. The students look for mistakes and teacher models how to make corrections. Once corrected the students re-write the sentence correctly.

Here is an example of what an incorrect sentence would look like:

Is that your nute.
the boy has a cut backpack.

The teacher and the student would change them to say:

Is that your note?
The boy has a cute backpack.
